Diabetic type 1 with unhealing wound on his leg?

Ivan: A friend of mine is a young boy with diabetes type 1, that has unhealing wound on his leg and it is ahead of amputation. Can you help him?

Walter Last: I believe it would be a great mistake to amputate the leg. He should use a small amount of food from the Basic Diabetes 1 Diet, and every hour or two an apple and a glass of diluted lemon juice, partly neutralised, with the addition of a quarter teaspoon each of spirulina powder, fructose, L-glutamine and cinnamon powder. When the blood sugar level is normal continue with the Basic Diabetes 1 Diet.

Many times during the day the boy should lie on his back and lift his legs up against a wall. If the fluid does not drain on its own within a few minutes a parent should press – massage the leg from the feet towards the body. Should move the fluid down. The wound could be covered with honey and a few drops of diluted hydrogen peroxide (to kill any microbes). Also can fresh outer cabbage leaf (replace every 3-4 hours during the day to speed up healing). He also should frequently tense and relax the leg muscles. Especially while the legs are raised but also in all other positions.
