My son has laryngitis, can he be cured without antibiotics?

Diana: My son is 11 months old and he has laryngitis, can he be cured without antibiotics? Thank you very much in advance.

Walter Last: Many infections are viral and then antibiotics do not help. Normally it would be easy to gargle with diluted hydrogen peroxide or colloidal silver. As your son cannot do that, you need to give him these in small frequent sips throughout the day. You can add a teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in a glass of herb tea (e.g. peppermint tea) or with cinnamon powder and a teaspoon of honey. If you can get colloidal silver you can in addition frequently put a few drops of that into his mouth. If he has had antibiotics at any time before then also give him acidophilus culture for several weeks. It also helps to wrap some blue cellophane around the neck. Susceptibility to infections is often caused by cows milk or milk formula and also by gluten and sweet food. Be careful with these.
