Mira: Can I use Canesten (Clotrimazole) for smear during the pregnancy?

Walter Last: Canesten (Clotrimazole) has not been tested during the first 3 months of pregnancy. It is considered safe later on. However, it is much safer just to douche with something like diluted tea tree oil, and follow up with acidophilus culture. Probably has intestinal Candida as well and for that should do the intestinal sanitation. As described in my Candida book, followed by the systemic therapy with olive leaf extract (half the normal amount) and possibly pau d’arco and garlic. Not take wormwood while pregnant.
